We excavate to the depth the application calls for, compact granular in lifts, screed bedding to a consistent depth, cut cleanly at the edges, and lock the field in with edge restraint and polymeric sand.

Interlock or concrete?
Interlock for repairability, pattern and frost tolerance. Concrete for a seamless surface and typically a lower cost per square foot. We install both and we'll walk through the trade-offs for your site.
Can you repair a sunken section?
Yes — lifting, re-basing and re-setting an area is routine and far cheaper than replacing the whole field.
Do I need a permit for a retaining wall?
In Ontario a wall above 1 m of exposed height generally needs a building permit, and engineered design above that. In Hamilton, walls in conservation-regulated areas or the Niagara Escarpment Plan need separate approvals. We confirm before quoting.
How long does interlock last?
Properly based, decades — and unlike concrete it can be lifted and re-set if anything ever settles.
